No permanent checks when entering Romania
Romania is a full Schengen member, land borders included. At the Nădlac and Borș crossings trucks no longer queue for border checks. Random roadside checks can still happen.
TollRO replaces the rovinieta for trucks
Vehicles over 3.5 t now pay for every kilometre driven on Romanian motorways, expressways and national roads. For a 40 t Euro VI combination that is 0.48 lei/km on the motorway and 0.24 lei/km on a national road. The toll is included in our price.
Higher road tolls along the way
- Hungary: HU-GO increases in January and March 2026, and truck transit directed onto motorways.
- Poland: new e-TOLL rates and a longer tolled network from February 2026.
